After three years of preparation, the China International Industrial Fair (hereinafter referred to as the Industrial Fair) was grandly held from September 19 to 23, 2023, at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). As the largest and most influential comprehensive industrial event in China, this year's Industrial Fair focused on the theme "Carbon Circulation in New Industries, Digital Aggregation in the New Economy," showcasing the latest technologies, products, and cutting-edge innovations in the industrial field.
Solidot leveraged its advanced technologies developed in recent years within the field of fieldbus systems and made a strong appearance at this Industrial Fair, presenting carefully designed display solutions across multiple dimensions including communication protocols, product performance, and case applications.
General I/O: Specialized Transmission Technology Enhances Competitive Advantages
With robust R&D capabilities, stable product performance, and a strong brand influence, Solidot's General I/O series products continue to break new ground, targeting more refined bus solutions and expanding the product range. At this Industrial Fair, the General I/O series introduced several new products:
XB6-MT Coupler: Supports web-based configuration through the module's IP address via a browser, making it simpler and more convenient to use.
PROFIBUS-DP Coupler: Supports transmission rates ranging from 9.6 Kbps to 12 Mbps, allowing various types of Slice I/O modules to be combined freely, using fewer nodes during configuration and supporting a maximum of 1,024 points for digital expansion.
CC7 Module: With an IP67 protection rating, it uses M12 standard cables for simple wiring and has undergone CE and CLPA consistency certification, finding wide application in industries like photovoltaics, lithium batteries, and LCD screens.
Beyond new products, an upgraded dynamic display for EC/PN drew significant attention. Its topology includes a master station + vertical I/O + Slice I/O + horizontal I/O + IP67 I/O + IO-Link master/slave + C2S and C2P valve islands, achieving complete connectivity through both star and line connection methods. All of Solidot's modules are designed compactly to save cabinet space and offer a full set of solutions for different scenarios. Notably, on the EC display board, Solidot also previewed the new integrated XX5 product series, which features multiple protocol communication interfaces and diverse I/O configurations, including e-con, screw-type, and spring-type terminals to meet different wiring needs.
Motion Control: Expanded I/O Modules for Diverse Applications
At this Industrial Fair, Solidot's innovative display attracted significant attention, centered around two flagship products: the open-loop stepper driver XB6-DS560K and the encoder counter XB6-P20A, paired with four vertical and one horizontal slide tables. The slide tables are directly driven by the XB6-DS560K module, with each slide table equipped with an encoder that works with XB6-P20A to obtain position. When any letter from "Solidot" overlaps with the camera's position, a pulse is triggered through the comparison output function of XB6-P20A, activating the industrial camera to take a shot displayed on the screen.
Bus Valve Islands: Focused on Bus Protocols for Enhanced Innovation
Solidot's self-developed bus valve island series has consistently been a highlight at previous exhibitions, and this Industrial Fair was no different, particularly with the flagship C2P series products. The C2P series features improved wiring methods, replacing the CM12 interface with an RJ45 interface, eliminating the need for specific M12 cables, making connections more convenient and reliable. Additionally, new diagnostic and empty-hold features have been added. It is reported that at the upcoming PTC Exhibition from October 24 to 27, Solidot will showcase new IO-LINK valve islands and CANopen protocol valve islands, promising more comprehensive pneumatic solutions.
Protocol Gateways: Enhancing Interconnectivity and Supporting Robotics
Solidot continues to prominently promote its Robot X series of protocol gateways. The Robot X product family utilizes Solidot’s X-bus component architecture, allowing independent, detachable, and freely combined modules to meet diverse on-site protocol conversion needs. Furthermore, the debut of the vertical EtherCAT six-port switch enriches the protocol gateway product line, offering fast speed, easy configuration, simple setup, and flexible application scenarios. The power supply system also includes reverse connection and short-circuit protection, ensuring a positive user experience.
IO-LINK + IP67: Empowering Digital Production with Smarter Solutions for Complex Scenarios
Solidot's IO-LINK bus I/O products offer advantages such as open compatibility, unified interfaces, simplified wiring, precise transmission, remote configuration, and efficient identification. They effectively meet the need for on-site sensors to modify parameter settings more easily during digital transformation. Meanwhile, the IP67 bus I/O products are dustproof and waterproof, suitable for harsher industrial environments, with digital modules that support configurable single-channel input and output functions for user flexibility.
In various fields of industrial automation, Solidot's products play an important role, ensuring efficient data transmission and reliable system operation. As Solidot continues to evolve and innovate, its bus series products will maintain a leading position in the industry, bringing forth more exciting technological breakthroughs and practical applications for customers.
